Growing Numb

I'm afraid. I'm becoming more and more distant; I've stopped caring about everything I once loved. I wonder if I'll still be afraid for long. Will I lose even the feeling of fear in the end? Initially after being trapped, I missed my family day and night. I longed for my wife, my parents... Then I started to grow numb. It wasn't that I'd toughened up emotionally. It was... some mysterious influence affecting me. I feel like a doll, like those weirdos in the theme park. I fear that I may no longer be human.
