A Short Letter to Mom

Dear Mom: I know this is all a little sudden, but an opportunity presented itself. I had to grasp it with both hands. You can understand that, right? We did well. We sold all the fuel and oil, and loaded up with electrical equipment, weapons, and books. But I'm not coming back with the others. Sorry, Mom. These guerrillas are different. They have advanced technology and knowledge from before Starfall. I thought I would be content with what I learned from you and Dennis, but now... I want to see the world beyond. Love, Robin
