People Are Complicated

...Uncle Brad had another run-in with Guard Captain Erica today. She's has been trying to convince Uncle Brad to give up our position here. He feels that we're at our limit, and no matter whether it's supplies or morale, something's gotta give sooner or later. But Uncle Brad disagreed, and kept repeating that "we've been holding out for two years, and can keep on holding out for a lot longer," and that "things are on the up, the Stardust seems to be receding." In the end, it turned into a massive argument. Guard Captain Erica insulted Uncle Brad, and left, slamming the door behind him. That evening, I asked Aunt Kelly if the Guard Captain was right when he said, "All that power has really gone to your head, Brad."
